Mary Browns Customer Sells What on Kijiji?!?

You can find just about anything on Kijiji these days.  Whether you’re looking for used furniture, cars, electronics, tickets, or even a new pet, it can be found in the online classified site’s huge set of listings.

But last week a truly unique item popped up.

It appears that a user of the popular site went to order lunch but his eyes were bigger than his stomach.  He entered a Mary Browns in St. John’s and purchased a Big Mary Combo with a taters and side salad.  He promptly sat down, took a photo of the meal and posted it for sale on Kijiji for $5.

The accompanying ad for the meal listed the item as follows:

Selling a big Mary meal as seen in the picture. I paid $15. Bought it 3 minutes ago and I’m not hungry anymore. I’ll sell it for $5 firm. First come, first serve!

The seller did eventually get a buyer for the hopefully gently used item, but didn’t recoup his costs or even get the amount he was looking for.  According to the ad he sold the combo to a man from Red Head Cove for $2.
